The Faculty of Law organized an Legal Aid awareness event titled “Cyber Crime and Its Impact on Society” on 10th March 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at Government High School, Vellappanchavadi, Chennai.
A group of students from LLB (Hons.) 1st year conducted an interactive session and skit for students of classes 8 to10, educating them on cyber threats like hacking, phishing, cyberbullying, identity theft, and financial fraud. They emphasized safe internet practices, strong passwords, and responsible digital behavior. The skit illustrated real-life cyber fraud, reinforcing the message: “Think before you click” and “Stay safe online.” The session was well-received, successfully raising cyber awareness and empowering students to navigate the digital world safely.
The event was organized by Ms. G.Saraswathi, Asst Prof and convened by Mrs.S. Harinishree, Asst Prof and Mr. N.Kishore Kumar, Asst Prof. under the guidance of Prof. Dr. N. Murugavel (Director), Dr. R. Gomathy Sankari (HOD), Dr. M. Amaraa (Deputy HOD), and Mrs. R. Shalini (Deputy HoD). A special thanks to Dr. K. Senthil Kumar (Dean, Administration), Dr. A.R.
