The Faculty of Law is delighted to have organised a special lecture on the topic titled “New Dimensions of Information Technology Law in the back drops of BNS” on 30th July 2025 from 12:00AM to 1:30PM.
The speaker of the session was Dr. Aswathy Prakash,B.A. LL.B(Hons), LL.M(Corporate Law), PGDIPL (Patent Law), PGDICL (Cyber Law), Associate Professor, Saveetha School Of Law.
The speaker discussed about Cyber Crime,IT Act, 2000, DPDP Act, Cyber stalking, deep fakes, Hate speech, BNS, IPC, and Voyeurism. The speaker insisted the students to strengthen their knowledge on the Cyber crime and compared it with practical touch.
The event was organised by Ms.L.Ranjitha, Assistant Professor, and the event was convened by Mrs. S.Harinishree, Mr. N.Kishore Assistant professors. Student from 3rd year BALLB(Hons) and 3rd year BBA.LLB (Hons)attended the session and interacted with the resource person. The session was interesting and informative to the students. The Special Lecture was conducted under the guidance, support and encouragement of Director Prof. Dr.N.Murugavel, Department Head Dr.R.Gomathy Sankari , Dr. M. Amaraa Deputy HOD and Mrs R.Shalini Deputy HOD. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Senthilkumar, Dean (Administration) Phase II and Dr.AR.
