Faculty of Law, Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute has successfully organized a one-day field visit to “Impart Legal Awareness to School Students” on August 4, 2023, at Government Higher Secondary School, Senneerkuppam, Chennai 56.
The faculties, Ms. G. Saraswathy, Mr. S. Ahamed Kabeer, Mr. Nizar Ahamed, Mr. M. Venkat Raj, and Ms. S. Ishwarya, were the coordinators of the field visit.
The Field Visit to Impart Legal Awareness to School Students was conducted at Government Higher Secondary School, Senneerkuppam, Chennai 56, in which our students from the final year of B.A. LL.B. (Hons), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons), and LL.B. (Hons) took part. The students, along with their faculties, gave awareness to the school students from classes 9th to 12th. Our students discussed various topics like the Constitution of India, the Right to Education, laws relating to women and children, laws relating to Motor Vehicles, POCSO, and the JJ Act. Our students also clarified many doubts relating to the law and social issues that were raised by the school students.
Following which, the Head Master of the school, Mr. Boobala Murugan, interacted with our students and appreciated their efforts in bringing legal awareness to their school, after which he thanked Faculty of Law and Executives of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute for such an initiative. Later, the Head Master, Mr. Boobala Murugan, was felicitated by our faculties for this opportunity and the successful conduct of the event. The students from the school later thanked our faculty and students for this legal awareness. Our students experienced and learned a lot from this one-day field visit.
