National Moot Court Competition

The Faculty of Law, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of its students in national-level moot court competitions.

Zubair (LL.B. III Year), Shradha (B.A. LL.B. III Year), and Santhosh (LL.B. II Year) secured First Place at the 1st CCI–AUB National Moot Court Competition, conducted in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India. The team won a cash prize of ₹50,000, while Zubair was also awarded the Best Speaker Award with a cash prize of ₹5,000. They advanced through six rigorous rounds, competing against top law universities across India.

Adding to this success, students of the Faculty of Law also secured First Place at the National Moot Court Competition 2026 hosted by Joy University. Competing among 22 teams nationwide, the team progressed through preliminary, quarter-final, and semi-final rounds to emerge as champions. The winning team comprised Papathi K (Speaker 1), Sushmitha Keren M (Speaker 2), and Vigasini S (Researcher), and was awarded a cash prize of ₹30,000 along with a trophy.

These achievements reflect the students’ exceptional advocacy skills, legal acumen, and the institution’s commitment to academic excellence. The Faculty of Law congratulates all the winners and acknowledges the support of the Management and Moot Court Committee in guiding them to success.
