Faculty Development Programme on Digital Security – Day 2 Session Report

The Faculty of Law, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, is pleased to continue its Faculty Development Programme on Digital Security from 6th April 2026 to 13th April 2026 at the Phase II Campus through online mode, in collaboration with the Digital Security Association of India.

On 7th April 2026, marking the second day of the FDP, the session was delivered by V. Rajendran, Chairman of DiSAI, on the topic “Cybercrimes in the Banking Sector.” The speaker provided valuable insights into various types of cybercrimes affecting the banking system and explained essential safety measures to be followed during financial transactions such as withdrawing and depositing money.

The session also addressed the nature and impact of cybercrimes on society, including emerging concerns such as digital arrest, thereby enhancing awareness among participants on the importance of cyber vigilance and security.

The event was organized by Deputy Head, Dr. M. Amaraa, and convened by Mrs. S. Harinishree and Mrs. R. Jeevitha. The programme is being conducted under the esteemed guidance of Director Prof. Dr. N. Murugavel and Dean Prof. Dr. N. Rajeshwari.
