The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of mental health in the criminal justice system and its role in ensuring justice, dignity, and human rights. The resource person explained how mental health influences criminal responsibility, rehabilitation, and fair legal decision-making.
The session covered key topics including forensic psychology, competency assessments, witness credibility, juvenile justice, trauma-informed approaches, and the role of mental health professionals in the legal system. The speaker also highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in promoting justice and protecting individual rights.

The programme witnessed active student participation, enhancing their understanding of the relationship between law, psychology, and mental health while promoting legal awareness, empathy, and ethical practice. This event was organised by Mrs. R.
