Orientation Programme, 2026

The Faculty of Law, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, successfully organised the Induction Programme – 2026 to warmly welcome and orient the newly admitted students and introduce them to the academic and professional environment of legal education. The programme served as an important platform for familiarising students with the Faculty, its academic practices, co-curricular activities, and the various opportunities available for their holistic development.

The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Justice Mrs. Bhavani Subbaroyan, Chairperson, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board Appellate Authority. Her esteemed presence and words of wisdom greatly inspired the students. In her address, she provided valuable insights into the legal profession and emphasised the importance of discipline, ethical values, professional integrity, and social responsibility in shaping responsible and competent legal professionals.

The programme also provided an opportunity for the newly joined students to familiarise themselves with the Faculty of Law, its faculty members, academic structure, curriculum, student activities, moot court culture, legal aid initiatives, and other co-curricular and professional development programmes. The students were also encouraged to actively participate in academic, research, cultural, and extracurricular activities during their course of study.

The induction activities helped the students gain confidence, understand the expectations of legal education, and develop a positive outlook towards their academic journey. The programme marked a meaningful beginning to their life at the Faculty of Law and motivated them to pursue their studies with commitment, discipline, and enthusiasm.
