The 18th Special lecture was organized by the Faculty of Law in line with the celebrations of 75th independence day “AZADI KA AMRUTH MAHOTSAV” on *”Legal Service to the victims of drug abuse and Eradication of Drug Menace“* on 27-03-2023. The: First session on *”Drug abuse prevention”* was conducted by Mrs. Dr. A.Vijayalakshmi, Director, BCom LLB Degree, SOEL, Chennai. This was followed by a session on *”Legal Service Authority“* by Thiru. Tr. P.V. Sandilyan, Secretary Senior Civil Judge, Legal Service Authority, Thiruvallur. Both the sessions were an “Eye-opener” and “Enlightenment” to students as the first speech highlighted on the impact & implications of drug abuse on health and the other session was focused on legal aid to the poor. With great pride, it’s our immense pleasure to thank our beloved Dr.MGRERI, President encouraging us in taking such initiative. The Director, Dean & all the staffs of Faculty of Law extended their unrelenting support in making this lecture successful.
